The steamer Kulambangra brings details of the annexation of Wallis Islind by France. It was previously a French protectorate. When the Kersaint man-of-war, 'arrived on Tune 9th, the chiefs turned out to participate in the ceremony. The nafciva militia paraded, and after a very effective march past by the latter, the chiefs formally handed over control to France. A salute of twenty-one guns was fired. It is
