The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date, Ist instant: — LONDON WOOL.SALES. There was a full, attendance at the opening of the sales today, competition by Homo and Continental buyers being good and prices, as compared with the close of preceding series, rifled par to 5 per cent, lower for crossbred slipe, scoured Crossbred, fine greasy crossbred and medium greasy crossbred. Crossbred lambs coarse greasy crossbred and merino, ruled about the same as at close of previous series. The opening catalogues were fairly representative. America is not operating.
