A GRIEF STRICKEN MOTHER

i At the Coroner's inquest on tin death of Is'obel Hall, who was hanged Iby her mother at Warkworth, a teleI gram was received reporting that the gaol surgeon at Auckland had examined .Mrs 'Hall on the 29th of last month. He was of the opinion that she was of unsound mind at the time of the tragedy, and was at the time i ! of examination still very unstable, principally through grief. The reason she gave for her act was that she did not like to see the children grow up in sin.
