CH HOUSE DESTROYED

Westport, June 20
An eight-roomed house., owned and occupied by Mr F. F. Munro, chairman of the Westport Harbor Board, was gutted by fire this afternoon. No one was at homo at tho time the fire occurred.
HOTEL BURNED DOWN
Auckland, June 21
The Nottingham Castle Hotel, Morrinsville, was destroyed by fire this morning. Tho housemaid, I who was sleeping in a bedroom over the kitchen, found the room full of smoke at 6 a.m. The inmates of the hotel, including tho boarders, had barely time to escape. The building was insured in the New Zealand office for £BOO, and the furniture in the Norwich office for £450. Mr Scholdum, owner of the hotel, estimates tho loss over the insurance money at £2OOO.
