Dalziell (Manawatu) beat B. Finnie '(Wellington) after a good fight. Dalziell, the shorter of the two, tired the other man down, and piled on points towards the end.. The New Zealand League footballers were outclassed in all departments if the game by the Combined Northern Districts team. At half-time the score was 23 to nil, and the final score was: Northern Districts 40, New Zealand 17. THE REGISTRATION QUESTION. London, June 11. At the annual meeting of the Manchester Northern Rugby Union, Huddersfield and Wigan, the leading clubs, made a strong atack, hut failed to carry a recision of the committee’s standing order respecting colonial players. As a result of the discussion a two years’ residential qualification prior to registration is now the law in the Northern Union. Mr W. L. Narbey, the well-known Eltham forward, has joined the permanent staff of the Defence Force, and will shortly ho leaving Eltham. THE OLYMPIC GAMES, Berlin, June 11.
