It is officially stated that Shefket Pasha was - leaving ; the Ministry of War,' arid had reached 1 Beyagid in Divangular Square, when 1 the car was compelled'to stop on'the road for repairs. ” Unknown persons from another car‘fired'ten shots, and mortally wounded Shefket Pasha and Ibrahim Bey. They were taken to the Ministry of War, where Shefket died in half an hour. Three arrests have been made. * Martial law has been proclaimed. Said Pasha has been appointed Grand Vizier.
