Mr Hanning, president of the British Chamber of Commerce in Paris, referred to the penalising of Australian produce in France, compared with the Argentine, especially with regard to meat. Australia was justly entit led to the most-favored-nation treat ment. T. LAMASON’S REPORT. Last Saturday I held rny usual weekly sale with a very good attendance. There was not quite such a good entry of poultry owing to the wet day. Of other lines there was a very good entry. I quote as follows; Hens 1.8 to 2s, roosters Is 6d to 2s, ducks'ls 6d to 2s, drakes 2s 6d, cauliflowers 3s 6d to 4s per doz., cabbage about 3s per sack. A large quantity of shrubs were sold, but prices were somewhat low. Furniture and sundries at usual auction rates.
