(Received 11.15 a.m.) ' London, June 9. At the Marconi Committee, the Chairman announced that thougl pressed in April to "return and give evidence, Viscount Elibank, who is in Ecuador, cabled that he was unablo to attend' before July. Mr Solomon, a trustee in the estate of Fenner, stockbroker, testified that an account appeared in Fenner's ledger in the names of Elibank and Illingworth jointly,, bufTEe account, was not connected with Marconi shares. Witness believed- that tbe Master of Eli-. bank's trust 'account and another account in his name were, one and the same.,. The trust account did not record a deal in Marconis, but the other did. The Maiter of Elibank was a creditor to\Fenner's estate to the extent of £30,000. M.P.j in his evidence, stated that the Master of Elibank's brother told him that his brother had purchased 8000 American Marconis for the Liberal party. When witness assumed the whipship Tor the Liberals,'the Master of Elibahk handed over paints of the securities, but they did hot include Marconis.
