Our Town Hall. The Councillors are at present quite concerned about a matter that, it may easily lie assumed, the ordinary residont bothers himself about not a jot if an occasional' remark about the "passing shows" be exempted. Last night the financial return from this municipal undertaking received particular attention. Cr Thompson brought up the question. He said that during May there was a fair outlay and no receipts. He instanced the case of Eltham, where a revenue of as much as £8 per week was an assured income lor a number of years. The question was eventually referred to the Town Hall Committee to report.
