The ladies' prize for euchre was won by Mrs T Aylward, and the gentlemen's by M> : Geo. Court. Dancing and a splendk supper made the time fly in merr? style. Mr J. McCluggage filled the Office of M.C, and the music was sup plied by Mr E. W. Hodder and Mr: Aylward. Next Thursday's euchre party is being allowed to lapse on ac count of the Tennis Club's dance com ing in the same week. Mrs J. Walker, of Marangae Valley returned to her home on Saturday night after two months' holiday ii Canterbury. The date for the election of a sohoo committee here has been fixed by th< Education Board for June 23rd. It wil be remembered that all the member? (except one) of the old committee re signed immediately after the usual annual housholders' meeting. It is anticipated the coming contest will be k strenuous one. Last week's billiard tournamen 1 resulted in a win for Mr A. JonfS. with Mr J. Fiynn close up second, and Mr J/. Dean third .
