A PANKHURST MANIFESTO. "THE WAR OF FREEDOM." London, June 9. Miss Davison never spoke after the accident. Her family do not support the militants, but are willing that the Women's Social Union shall conduct tlio funeral. *Miss Christabel Pankhurst, in a manifesto, declares that Miss Davisoii died to call attention to women's ,vrongs. Argument has not convinces Mr Asquith of the seriousness of tht position, but perhaps Miss Davison'b death may. There will be a public funeral in honor of a soldier fallen in the war of freedom.
DAMAGE BY FIRE, £BO,OOO.
The Hurst Park fire was discoverec at midnight. Three parts of the grand stand, including the Royal boxes, wa: destroyed. The fire at the stable; ,vas speedily extinguished. Six incendiary fires occurred a 1 Bradford on Saturday night. Tht ,irst was in the office of the Woof Merchants, then in Harrison's Print ing Works, where £40,000 damage xAsS done. The third fire was at ; >ox-maker's, fifty yards away. Later : joach-builder's and the county school: vvere fired, and lastly a packing-cast manufacturer's, where the damage was 610,000. The total damage amounts ;o £BO,OOO. Four hundred people have fen rendered workless within a fort night. A dozen outbreaks of fire oc burred within a hundred yards during Saturday's outbreaks.
