The Altrincham (Cheshire) bye-elec-tion resulted : Hamilton (Unionist) 9108 votes Kay Shuttknvorth (Liberal) • 8148 votes (Received 10.0 a.m.) Mr Hamilton attributed his victory to his dislike of the Insurance Act, Homo Rule, and Disestablishment Bills.
