SHEEP DOG TRIALS.

AT N?W PLYMOUTH. A Sheep-dog Trials Club has been formed in conjunction with the Taranaki Agricultural Society, and will hold its first meeting on Mr Cassidy’s property at Frankleigh Park on June 12th and. I3th, the Thursday and Friday, of ijhe Winter Show week. These trials are particularly interesting, and the property which Mr Cassidy has kindly placed at the disposal of the Committee is admirably suited for the , purpose, 'both from a working point of view .and also as far as the spectators are concerned. Valuable cash prizes are being offered, and in addition numerous special prizes have been donated, including a solid silTor clip and several handsome gold medals. Most of the leading dog trial men of the surrounding districts haye promised their support, and it is ( anticipated that the initial gathering of the Club will be a great' success.
