Captain Grubb and ex-Captain Kivell act’d as judges, and Fireman Walsh and Mr Penny as starter and time-keeper respectively. It is hoped that the aext competitions will be held in Vienna Park, the Council having pronised to place on the estimates a. sum sufficient to provide for the installation in the Park of a lire plug. When •:his is done, residents may possibly be disposed to show just a little interest in the Brigade. It’s not charity, for

he competitions are interesting to vatch, and no collection is taken up! Mr T. Merger’s Trophy.—Run syds, lick up hydrant, branch, and 50 ft. lose, properly strapped, run 25yds to dug, fix hydrant, connect and run nit 50ft. hose, and fix branch.
