Newton King’s horse fair at Stratford on May 3rd. A comfortable property t consisting of six acres of land and a good sixroomed house, just outside the Borough, is offered for sale. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Company will hold their To Wera stock sale to-morrow. A respectable woman is prepared to do sewing. Apply Elder’s Registry office. The Electors’ Roll and Defaulters’ Lists for Whangamomona .County Council are now open for inspection at the several places advertised in this issue. An unfurnished room with fireplace wanted. Mr C. E. James, proprietor of the well-known tobacco and fancy goods business, Broadway Central, lias a special announcement with regard to the Mart Hairdressing Saloon which is now his property. Mr James some time ago closed Ins Central Saloon iu order to enlarge the .Tobacco and Fancy Goods Departments at his main business premises. The Mart Saloon is the only hair-dressing establishment in Stratford now controlled by Mr C. E. James. Mrs Bianebi will bold an assembly in .the Foresters Hall to-morrow evening, and a good time is promised. With reference to to-morrow’s Municipal elections, notices to the electors appear in our advertising columns from Messrs W. H. H. Young, F. Arden. T. Lawson, R. Dingle, Jos. W. Boon, J. IT- Thompson, and N. J. King.
