THE EGMONT CLUB.
The Egmout Club held its annua meeting last evening, when there were about thirty members present. In moving the adoption of the report and balance sheet, the President (Mr J. Masters) congratulated the Club on a very successful year. Mr N. J. King seconded the motion, which was carried unanimously. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows;—Patron, Mr J. 11. Hine, M.P.; president, Mr X. J. King; vice-presidents, Rev. Reader, Messrs. G. X. Curtis, and J. Masters; secretary and treasurer. Mr R. Boon; auditor, Mr J. H. Thompson; committee, Messrs. J. McMahon, J. H. Thompson, J. H. Aston, W. R. Boon, B. Fearon, A. O’Leary, R. Masters, J. McAllister, S. Ward and J. Fredric. It was decided to continue the debates through the winter months, and a motion was passed recommending that a social bo held shortly. An amendment in the constitution was made, when a motion was carried that new members be admitted only on their taking up two or morb debentures.
