A.J.C; MEETING. [Per Press Association. 1 Auckland, April 16. The Avondale Jockey Club’s Autumn Meeting opened to-day in fine weather. There was a good attendance. Results: — Maiden Plate.—Topic 1, Barbwire 2, Prince Meriwee 3. Scratched: Clare, Vic, Monotone. Won by a length. Time, Imin 16 2-sscc. Handicap Hurdles.—The Chief 1, Tiri 2, Aema 3. All started. Won by a length and 1 a quarter. .Time, 3min 48sec. Juvenile Handicap. - Self 1, Laloma 2, Marshall MacDonald 3. Scratched: Queenie Soult. Won by a length.- Time) Imin 3sec. Oakley Handicap.—Bluestonq 1, Hahungatahi 2, Monoline 3. All started. Won by a length and a half. Time, Imin 2 l-ssec. In the second race, Percival, rider of Admiral Soult, had his collarbone broken, and was removed to the hospital.
