The Government Meteorologist is •studying.' the respite of Mawson’s weather report, ami is endeavouring to: connect up the isobars with tho so of Australia and New Zealand;- The result is insufficient yet to- yield much, but he-has disclosed one important point, and. that is, that when Antaetic disturbances are travelling rapidly, isobars extend to a very high latitude- The records prove that Antarctic currents can travel directly to Australia and affect the weather.
