TELLS THE STORY OF THE ATTACK.. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] Madrid, April 15. Alegre was thrice rejected for military service, on the ground that lie suffered from epileptic fits.

King Alfonso, describing the attack says that he saw a man coming armed with a revolver. “He fired,” lie concluded, “and 1 rode at him. Hu tried to seize the reins, and fired again, the flash singing my glove, while the ball grazed my horse. I then wheeled the horse, which knocked the man over witn his shoplder as a policeman spang upon him. Ihe third shot was bred from the ground, and whistled overhead.”
