[Per Press Association.] Wellington, April 16. The. Hon. F. H. I). Bell has stated that he intended to make a statement on the subject of the Amokura enquiry at the time when he received the report, hut now he has decided to hold over his statement until the departure of the battleship from Wellington, when he will hand it to /the. Press for publication. The Minister added: “I might say in advance that the charges of cruelty and undue severity of punishment are completely disproved.”
