WHO WAS SHE?
WOMAN BURIED UNDER' WRONG .i; I , NAME. , j... ': ■■V-'l The Sydney Daily Telegraph states that an extraordinary development in ; ,cpnnection with the reported finding ;o£ hotly,, which was identified as that Murphy, ah Folly .Point 09, 'Tibe&dfity, (the 2oth ult., had risen. Sofe,: after the body was found, -a neighbour identified it as that of the woman Murphy, and it was removed to the morgue, where a post mortem was held by the police doctor. The examination disclosed that death was due to natural causes, and accordingly an inquest was dispensed with, the corpse being buried. However, information was received by the police to the effect that Ann Murphy had been seen alive and in the company of a man, on Wednesday night. Furthermore, it was stated that she had actually been spoken to, and that there was no doubt at all that she was aliv&
Gates and Constable Pither jvere placed in charge of the case, and'they established the fact that the supposedly dead woman was still living at Folly Point. Unfortunately, no photograph had been taken at the morgue of the woman who has been buried, and it is therefore anticipated by the police that, unless the body' is exhumed, they will have an exceedingly difficult task in .getting it identified.
At Folly Point none of the residents seem to know anything about the dead woman, and as far as can be ascertained, she has no friends or relations.
