FIRE.
BOOTH MCDONALD’S OUTBREAK. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, March 12. The damage caused by the outbreak of fire at Booth McDonald and Co’s, works last night is nothing like as serious as was at first thought. The actual destruction will not reach £IOOO and insurances will amply cover that. There will be some loss of time, but repairs are being effected vigorously, and it is hoped that the works will be in full swing again within a week.
