LIBERAL OPPOSITION. Ottawa. February 22. The Liberals have decided to oppose the Navy Bill throughout its entire •stages. Mr Crothers, speaking in favour of the measure, pointed out that the present was not a permanent policy, but merely designed to aid the Empire most effectively,' pending the Cabinet’s definite scheme. Mr McLean,speaking at Halifax, alleged that the Admiralty memorandum was secured under duress exercised by the Canadian Ministers. The memorandum did not reflect the official opinion in Britain.
