NOMINATIONS for events 3,4 s 5, G, 7,8, 10, 11, 12 and 16 close with the Secretary at Matau at 8 p.m. on SATURDAY, February 27. ACCEPTANCES at 10 a.m. on day of Sports. All entries to bo accompanied by foes and performances for the last two years. If no performances for two years, the last four to bo given. The Committee reserve the right to hold moneys in case of protest. Each protest to bo accompanied by a fee of os, to bo forfeited if protest is not upheld or considered trivial. District includes Pohokura to foot of Whangamomona Saddle, to Strathmore Township, thence along Akama Road and Head Road to Waitara Road, to Tarata Bridge and Matau North to Uruti. The Committee reserve the right to postpone the Sports or make any alteration in the programme. The events are held under the Taranaki Athletic and Caledonian Association and tho New Zealand Axemen’s Association. HANDICAPS will appear in the “Evening Post,” of March 8.
