A FAMINE FEARED. REBELS STRONGLY FORTIFIED, (Received 11.20 a.m.) y Mexico City, February 14. President Madero has sent an ultimatum, demanding the surrender of General Diaz, and his forces. General Diaz replied with a heavy bombardment of the Palace. Fightihg is proceeding, and all* business is idle, A famine is beginning to be felt. (Fhe better class of Mexicans arc now favouring intervention. The rebels are well supplied with artillery and ammunition, and will be able to hold the position probably for. weeks.
