THE EXHIBITION MEETING. Auckland, February 8. Tho Auckland Racing Club is expected to do something handsome foi a meeting about Exhibition time. It is understood that a proposal will be made to increase the prize money to exceed anything yet given in the Dominion, including an Auckland Cup, of about £4OOO, and an Exhibition Cup, which would induce competition from tho best horses in Australasia. Tho Auckland Trotting Club lias already announced its intention of giving £SOO for Trotting Cup, find other racing clubs are expected to follow suit, A Sydney cablegram states, that the German Government has purchased the thoroughbred Parsec for the Graditz stud, the price being 1750 guineas.
