THE NAVAL DEBATE. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) (Received 8.0 a.m.) Ottawa, February 7. Mr Borden has decided that the naval question is now fully debated, leaving the Opposition to decide whether to continue the debate indefinitely in order to compel Mr Borden to dissolve the House. Mr R. MacDonald attacked the Premier’s decision. “There is a great principle at stake,’’and, he asked, “did Mr Borden pretend to know more about naval affairs than Lord Beresford, or even Premier Fisher?” Instead of doing their duty as the. Australians did, Canada was opposed to giving up her status as a nation to the Empire and becoming subservient. GRAFT ALLEGED. (Received 10.45 a.m.) Ottawa, February 7. Mr Bourassa charges Mr Borden with making the gift of a Dreadnought merely as a shield to her contribution of three millions to the conservative party’s election funds.
