The success of Messrs Morey and Son’s Great Summer Sale can be guaged by the large numbers of women who daily throng the store. A fresh list of bargains is announced in this issue. x The Stratford County Council invites tenders for a supply of shellrock in the Mangaehu Riding; also for drain cleaning in the Douglas valley. Webster, Dobson and Co. advertise their Strathmore sale, to lie held on Monday next. A cap off a car radiator is advertised for. Messrs Gillies and Nalder advertise their Kaponga sale, which is to be Held to-morrow. The after-season sale, now running at A. Spence’s establishment, is a centre of great attraction to the thrifty. This is not to be wondered at, considering the very low 1 prices at which the goods are being sold. Incredible though it may seem, it is a. fact that many lines—notably, blouse robes, one-piece dresses, silk and muslin blouses, dress materials, dress muslins, merlawns, etc.—are being sold considerably under cost to effect a clearance. x
