United Kingdom, British Possessions, United States, Chili, Costa Rica, Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Peru, I ago Pago, Paraguay, Portugal, and Portuguese Colonies, Siam, Serna, anti Postal Agencies in Chinese Treaty Ports, lei for each oz. or fraction thereof; all other places 2£d for the first oz. or fraction tnereof, and Tid for each succeeding oz. or fraction thereof. . Post Cards. —Inland, single, id; reply, Id; all other places, single, Id; reply 2d. _ i Printed Papers (fnoludmg Books and Magazines, not registered).—Ail places, id per 2oz- Magazines (registered), inland, id for every Boz or fraction thereof. Foreign, id per 2oz or fraction thereof. One end must be left open. Commercial Papers.— Town (for accounts, etc., only), id for 2ozs, or in tor first 4oz and id each succeeding 2oz. TELEPHONES. Charges.— it ©xenanges continuously open—Business establishments, £7; private residences, £5 per annum. Exchanges not continuously open, an equal charge of £6. , Telephone Exchanges at Auckland, Wellington. Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, and Wanganui are open all day and all night. The other Exchanges chiefly from 9 to 5 p.m. TELEGRAPHIC RATES. For 12 .words or lessj including address and signature— Ordinary Telegrams, 6d, and Jd for each additional word. Urgent Telegrams, Is, and Id for mch additional word. Telegrams to lie repeated will be charged halfrates in addition to the above.
