STRENUOUS VOTING OF SICK

AND MAIMED

London, January 31

A Nationalist victory is forecasted at Derry, after a strenuous record. At noon 75 per cent, of the voters had polled, and there was then a fierc< contest to gather in the remainder. Many remarkable incidents occurred A'man evading a warrant returned, risking arrest, and voted. Bedridden men were carried to the booths. On; Unionist died before ho recorded hi c vote. Several sick Nationalists, ac companied by priests prepared to ad minister the last rites, were carried to the poll.

The city has been proclaimed foi three days as a precaution against riot. Two hundred troops and 50 f constabulary are in readiness.
