AGREEMENT AT WAIHI. (Per Press Association.) Waihi, January 25 The conference between the mineowners and the Ohinernuri mines anc battery employees has concluded, am a, satisfactory industrial .agreement reached. Although the whole of the demands were not conceded, the men have got from 50 to 75 per cent, o’ the advance asked for m wages n various departments, and with the exception of some few small local hodier the minimum wage fixed is the highest in the Dominion. Tae suifac* workers’ minimum is 8s 9d per shift formerly 8s; underground workers 10s, formerly 9s . THE PEL AW MAIN COLLIERY. Sydney, January 26. The Pelaw Main colliery at New castle is idle, owing to further trouble with the machine men. There is considerable unrest, and a possibility of trouble with the whole of the men engaged at Pelaw Alain.
