At the wool sales tne following are the prices realised for the fleece portions of the clips named -Wairore 12fd and Is; Murray, 13d and 12|d; Tammi, 13id and 12pi; Gear, i4£d and 12|d; Leeflcld, lod and L3|d.. Matthews, Bennett and Co.'s Weekly Report. Messrs. Matthews, Bennett and Co. report that there was a fair yarding of cattle in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday last, and nearly every lot changed hands. There was a good attendance of buyers. Prices were as lollows: —Springing heifers £5 to LG 7s 6d, dairy cows £4 to £6, bulls £1 Bs to £7 2s 6d, store cows £3 10s to £5, 20 month heifers £3 18s, weaners £1 to £1 19s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd and Reduced, have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 21st instant: —London Wool Sales: The sales progess steadily. As compared with last sales’ closing rates, prices are higher by about par to 5| per cent, for merino scoured, greasy merino, lambs and fine greasy cross-j bred; about the same for crossbred lambs, medium and coarse greasy crossbred and scoured crossbred; lower by about par to 5 per cent, for crossbred slipe.
