As the result of the morganatic marriage a Ukase has been issued establishing a guardianship over Grand Duke Michael, and relieving him of the Regency, which had been entrusted to him in the event of the death cf the C2ar before the Heir-apparent bad attained bis majority.

The English liner Veronese, with 375 passengers, was wrecked during a gale off Leixoes, Rescue boats were unable to approach, some being smashe l on the rocks.
LIBELLING THE KING
Washington, January 16
Mr. Nagel (Secretary of Commerce) lias ordered Mylius to be deported, holding that libel against the King was an offence involving moral turpitude.
