"TIGER HUNTING."

A STRIPED ANIMAL WOUNDED

Goulburn, December 18

A large striped animal, supposed to be a tiger, which was seen some time ago near Mummell, has again been seen, and this time it was wounded by Sidney M. Yeadon, of Rhyanna. Returning home on Monday at dusk from a shooting expedition, Yeadon heard heavy growling®, and saw an animal beneath a bush. As it sat up,-Aea-don took aim and fired,- hitting it on the shoulder. The animal jumped several feet in the air, and' made off into the wooded country. Yeadon hurried home, and his brother and he set out, armed with rifles, but there was not sufficient light to follow any trail.
