Favoured with most perfect weather throughout Now Zealand, the Christmas holidays of 1912 will long be remembered. In Taranaki happy crowds of pleasure seekers came and went as inclination pleased them, and everybody seemed to bo having a really merry Christinas. Trade, too, has been brisk, and money fairly plentiful indicating that prosperity abounds. Let ns hope that Fortune’s smiling face may still bo turned towards us; that fine weather may continue over the New Year festivities, and that the lido of prosperity may continue and grow greater.
