Agra, December 2-3. Budhu testified that Dr. Clark made powdered glass out of a lamp chimney and instructed him to give it to his wife, but to be careful not to put ic in tlie children’s food. Subsequently Clark and Mrs. Fuliiam asked if ne could arrange lo kill Mrs. Clark. Hcpromised to reply later. Witness spoke to Sukhia, and replied that he was unable to do it for a hundred rupees, and wanted more. He took Sukhia to Fulham’s house, and Fulham conversed with Sukhia lengthily. Payment beforehand was demanded, but was promised when the work aas done, ft was arranged that the money should lie entrusted to Budhu. About a week later Clark told Sukhia that he was handing the money to Budhu, and added, “Do the job to-night.” Witness accompanied Sukhia and Rambal to Budhakanjore’s House. Another man who Sukhia found at a bazaar joined them, and Budhakanjore handed Rambal a large knife. Alt went to- Clark’s bungalow. Clark arrived and removed a oarkmg dog and left, while Budhu remained outside. Rambal entered the house, but returned, saying that ho was unable to distinguish the mother from the daughter. Budhu pointed out the mother’s bed. The two who were not arrested carried a lamp, and Rambal and Sukiiia stood behind a curtain near the daughter. Budnakanjore took the lamp and the other man gave the woman a heavy cut. Directly she shrieked he gave her another cut. She writhed and rolled over and subsequently llambal and Sukhia clamoured for paym.nt and -were referred to Clark. Witness was unaware whether he was paid, because he was arrested.

The case fias been adjourned until January 7.
