NOTES AND MEMORANDA.
■ Notice is given that all shops will close on 26th and 26th December, and also on January Ist and 2nd, 1913. Messrs Hunter and Lyons, dentists, publish a notice with reference to the Xmas and New Year holidays. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co. advertise their list of sales for January, 1913. Messrs Matthews, Bennett and Co. publish a notice with reference to the Xmas and New Year holidays. Services at Wesley Church to-mor-row will be conducted by Kev._ A. Reader. Special Christmas addresses will be given. The choir w.T render a number of Christmas carols and anthems from 6.30 to 7 p.m., prior to evening service. All are cordially invited. >

Through this issue we circulate an inset from Mr H. J. Hopkins, the up-to-date bookseller, stationer, and fancy goods dealer, Broadway. Mr Hop kins has now a full stock of useful, yet cheap, Xmas presents and gifts for both young and old. The children should sec this popular establishment. They will spend a good time in honour of the great festival season. Mr Newton King will hold a stock sale at his Toko yards on Monday. Entries appear elsewhere. Divine worship will be conducted in the Broadway Church to-morrow morning by Mr H. Lacey and in the evening by the Rev. B. Metson. Christmas addresses will be delivered and appropriate hymns well known to all will be sung. All welcome. x Air F. At the mart on January 25th, 1913, Air Newton King will sell under the conduct of the Registrar of the Supreme Court, of New Plymouth, a sectoin in the Taranaki distrinct of 513 acres 3 roods 20 perches, situated in the Kaupokonui Survey District I'bdicr particulars are announced elsewhere.
Air Newton King has received instructions from the Public Trustee (in the estate of the late F. S. Pollock) to sell at his mart on Saturday, 11th January, at 2 p.m., four lots of property as defined in our advertising columns.
