CROQUET.
MATCH AT STRATFORD
The New Plymouth and Stratford Croquet Clubs played a match yesterday on the local club’s lawns, resulting in a win for the visitors by 69 points. The day was perfect and the laivns in splendid condition. Friendly games were indulged in after the match was over. The following are the scores:— DOUBLES. Mesdames Fitzherbert and Courrney (9) w-ere beaten by Misses Dingle and King (28); Mesdames Mills and Cowling (28) beat Mesdames Curtis and Dingle (14) ; Miss Hall and Mrs Hirst (27) were beaten by Mesdames King and Riera (28) ; totals, New Plymouth 64, Stratford 70.
SINGLES.
Mrs Fitzherbert (28) beat Miss Dingle (1); Mrs Courtney (28) beat Miss King (9); Mrs Mills (28) beat Mrs Curtis (10); Mrs Cowling (28) beat Mrs Dingle (12); Miss Hall (28) beat Mrs King (20); Mrs Hirst (15) was beaten by Mrs Riera (28); totals, New Plymouth 155, Stratford 80.
