Winston Churchill, First Lord of the Admiralty, addressing the Loudon Naval Reservists, said the Admiralty would use the reservists if necessary for the front line. ihc country was now passing through a picturesque period. Prosperity was great, and our colonies were drawing closer. Ambassadors were meeting to narrow the scope of war. The Naxy was playing a vital part in doing more than any other agency to bind the colonies together, leading not merely to national safety, hut to Imperial union.
