THE DOUBLE SUICIDE. (Received 10, 10.45 a.m.) London, December 9. Regarding the suicide of “Captain’ - Willis and Mrs; Lily Allen at Paris, Willis’s relatives scale that Willis (though married) became infatuated and rascinatecl with a foreigner at Ostend. Wuiis returned to London, but failed to obtain money, lie went to Paris on the woman’s urgent appeal for help, and took two revolvers witli him, RAILWAY UNREST. (Received 10, 10.25 a.m.) London, December 9. Twelve hundred North-Eastern and Tyne dockers have struck in sympathy. The coal trade is being held up, and much shipping is idle. Railway men are appealing to the Amalgamated Union to declare a national strike. Trade unionists officially deny Mr Wolrnor’s statement that the trade union ballots had been irregularly conducted.
NORTH MOUNT LYELL. (Received 10, 8.0 a.m.) Hobart, December 10. The bodies of McCarthy, McCashlaud, .Burke, Bianciuui, and Rolfe were reco.v,creel from the -North -Mount Lyell indie at tlie 700 feet level. They were buried in the cemctery at Quecastown. The funeral was the largest ever witnessed in the West, practically the whole population of Queenstown being present.
