FLOUR AND WHEAT. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) London, December 8. The wheat and Hoar afloat totalled 2,310,000qrs for the United Kingdom, and for the Continent 1,135,0U0qr5. Atlantic shipments amounted to 020,UOOqrs, Pacific 15,000qrs. Iho total Wr Europe was 1,225,0U0qr5, Australian GOUOqrs. , South American meat. —Sheep, hcavv 4 3-16 d. Beef.—Frozen fores did/ hinds 3)d; chilled, fores 3Jd, hinds ltd. Other quotations unchangRabbits.— There is a moderate supply, the market tending upwards. Hares are dull at about 2s fid. WOOL SALES. (Received 10, 8,0 a.m.) London, December 0. At the wool sales '47,000 bales aero sold for homo consumption, the same for the Continent, 1000 tor the f nited States, and 2000 were held over. AUSTRALASIAN DAIRY PRODUCE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd. and Reduced, report under date 25th October:— Butter. —The following vessels have arrived and discharged their cargoes during the week: Malwa (s) from Australia with 900 boxes, Suffolk (s) from | 'Australia with 500 boxes, Somerset (s, 1 from Australia with 2814 boxes, Demosthenes (s) from Australia with 2196 boxes. .Australian: The market is extremely quiet for all descriptions, cold stored goods being neglected Some new season’s butters are offered on the market at 124 s per cwt for salted, but meet a slow trade. The quality is very fair. New Zealand: There have been no fresh arrivals since the Kaikoura. The unsalted butter ex this vessel is not yet cleared, the price asked, 1345, being too high to induce ; busincss. Siberian; Tip; .arrivals are 13,000 casks. Ihe market is easier on spot and concessions, up to 2s per cwt, have been made to stimulate the demand. Prices in the country of production, however, continue high, equal to 118 s to 120 s London, while the make is diminishing. Danish: In the Northern markets a
quiet demand prevails and prices are 2s per cwt clown. Yesterday the -official quotation was telegraphed “linchanged.” French: With a goad autumn make quotations have receded all round 2s to 4s per cwt for i;nsalted and 2s to 6« per cwt for salted. Irish: Creamery butters are 3s per cwt /lower, but factories are unchanged. Argentine; 22Q0 boxes were landed this week, 1900 at Southampton and .300 in London. Salted is offering at 121 s and nnsalted at J2Bc i>cr cwt.
We quote.—Victorian (new) 12 la to 1265, stored 100 s to Ills per cwt; New South Wales (new) 120 s to 1245, stored 100 s to Ill's; Queensland (new) 120 s to 1225, stored 106 s to 114 s; New Zealand, nil; Danish 130 s to 132 s per cwt. The quotations are for the best grades of salted. Cheese meets with a slow market at the undernoted quotations: Canadian, white and coloured, 64s to 65s per cwt, exceptionally 06s: some .New Zealand are offered ex the first arrival at 62s 6d per cwt c.i.f. London.
