Messrs Robinson and Son, of the “Ready Money” store, have a replace reader advertisement in tills issue. Air C. E. James lias a replace advertisement in this issue wim respect to Ninas presents, etc. The Stratford County Council publish a notice in tiiis issue, with regard to unpaid rates. The finest cutlery in the world is M. Hunter and Son’s “Bugle Horn brand. The firm has been established for over a century and a half, and lias a reputation for manufacturing only top-grade cutlery. in view_ of the Xmas festivities it is interesting to note tout the Taranaki Hardware Co., of Stratford, has just opened up a special shipment of these world-fam-ed goods. . , ( Tim Goldsmiths and Silversmiths Co. announce that they have a large and excellent assortment of acceptable Xmas presents just arrived. Persona would do well to visit th s establishment and inspect. A single room (furnished or unfurnished) is advertised to let. Newton King will hold a cattle s:|le at bis Douglas saleyards on Monday. Messrs Alatthcws, Bennett and Co. will hold their usual Weekly sale in their Inglewood yards on Wednesday, December 11. Present entries, 250 head mixed cattle. _ The Stratford Primitive Methodist Church 22nd School Anniversary takef place to-morrow at 11, 3,’and 7 p.m. An advertisement to the effect ap peaj's in another column. A very favourite and comfortable stopping place for visitors to New Plymouth is “The Bungalow,” a plea-santly-situated establishment opposite the Gilbert Street entrance to the Recreation Grounds. A nice home for visitors or permanent boarders is offered and the proprietress—Airs R. G. Whitham—will be glad to give any further information desired.
Owing to losing the tenancy of one of Ids shops (the clothing and mercery department, and half the showroom), Mr. A. Spence is confronted with the huge task of converting into money a .large portion of his stock within a short time. His tenancy of tins shop expires on November 30th, and as the new tenants take possession on December Ist, there is only a limited time left to got out. No other suitable promises are available at the present time so Mr. Spence has no alternative but to endeavour to realise. He has determined to hold a great clearance sale, which commences on Saturday next, 16th inst. Mr. Spence says the goods must bo sold, however great the sacrifice may be. s
