The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:
The indications are for freshening westerly strong winds to gale at times. There is a prospect of fair to cloudy weather, but clouding over, rain later. The barometer has a falling tendency. ,
