WOOL PRICES ADVANCE.
(Per Press Association.) j Wellington, December 6. The wool sales here opened with very strong competition for coarse and medium crossbred wools, which were Ifd to 2d per lb over the prices ruling last December. Finer wools advanced fully Id per lb. The total number of hales in the catalogue was 11,000, which were all offered. American competition was not so keen as expected. , Buying came chiefly from Bradford representatives, and on account of, New Zealand interests.
