The discussion in tuc House on the Referenda Bills is dragging along. ■Mr Fisher stated that he had communicated with various Governments with reference to the Sugar Commission report and had asked'them to take action. If the Premier of Queensland complied with his requests, the Bill dealing with the matter would be introduced during the current session. Brisbane, December G. The Premier announced that Mr Fisher advised that the Federal Government proposed to introduce Bills this session to abolish the Sugar Excise and Bounty Act, and also coloured labour. He had much pleasure in (complying with the request to introduce legislation dealing with coloured labour. Ho sincerely trusted teat the Commission’s proposals would end tiie unrest and ensure the stability ol the industry. . The Parliamentary session lias ended.
