London, December 5. Wool.—Montaito, top price, IJjd. average 12|d. Wheat is dull and easier. An Australian January-February shipment brought 36s 4jd, and a Mareh-Aprb shipment 36s Ijd. WOOL SALES. (Received 10.30 a.m.) Sydney, December 6. Yesterday’s wool sale- was a record iii greasy wools since 1899. (Received 10.55 a.m.) London, December 5. The wool sales were animated ano prices fully maintained, Yorkshire buy ers operating keenly. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. Sydney, December 5. Wool.—At the closing sales of tin week the market was very firm foi all well-grown shafty wools. Cross breds received increased attention, am extreme rates for greasy were reached up to 18id, which is a record for th. season, and a penny below the Aus trahan record of 1809. (Per Press Association.) New Plymouth, December 6. A cable received 1 from London thi: morning gives 122 s as the spot valut of the finest New Zealand butter. Tht salted and unsalted market is lira with an upward tendency. Finest cheese, white or coloured, i. quoted at 61s, with the market firm.

The New ZeaLlnd Loan and Mercan tile Agency Co., Ltd., and Reduced Stratford branch, report as follows On Friday, 29th ult, we held on usual monthly sale in the Te Wer. saleyards, when there was a yard in, of 150 head of mixed cattle nearly ai of which were disposed of at the ham nier and afterwards. We quote price: as follows: —Store cows 70s fo 90s forward cows 95s to 110 s, 2 to 2-i-yea old steers 82s 6d to 955, 2 to 2-i-yea old heifers 955, 15 to 18 mouth steer. G2s to 61s, 15 to 18 month empty heii ers 63s to 955.

On Tuesday, 3rd inst., we held ou. usual fortnightly combined sale in tin Stratford saleyards, but owing to th day being very rough there were onl. about 600 hegid of mixed cattle yard ed. Competition for good store am forward cows was very keen, and con sequently good prices were obtained We quote as follows: —Store cows small and low in condition, 50s to 100 for good urtrong cows, forward and fa cows 106 s to 1295, bulls 37s to 12(h 15 to 18 month steers 57s 6d to 67: Gd for well-grown cattle, 15 to 1 month empty Shorthorn heifers 56 for small and low conditioned cattle t 72s 6d foi- good stuff, heifers show n, Jersey-Holstein strains 78s to 97s 6. We also offered a few springing heii ers and heifers in milk in our dair pens, prices realised being as follows —Springing heifers 107 s 6d to 132 s 6d heifers in milk 112 s to 1355.

During the week we have sold seve ral large lines of wethers, forward ewe and lambs at full market values, ajs several lines of 16 month steers at 72 6d and small-grown steers at 67s 6d We have also placed several larg' wool clips, on behalf of farmers, a satisfactory prices.
