HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE

“The Relief of Lucknow” is to be screened at His Majesty’s Theatre on Thursday next. The film is a’stupendous production, portraying the famous incident of the Indian Mutiny in 1856, and showing how the besieged people of Lucknow were saved from annihilation by the heroism of a volunteer, whose valiant effort brought forth relief. The troops seen are from the 2nd Battalion, Queen’s Own Regiment. “Broncho Billy’s Gratitude” is certainly one of the finest, most absorbing Western dramas ever released. Mr. Anderson, the Essanay “star” cowboy actor, is seen at his best. There is a powerful plot strikingly developed, and prippingly portrayed. “Tne Last of the Black Hand Gang” is another picture of merit to be found in the new programme. “Krimy and its Lovely Waterfalls” is a scenic commanding attention. It takes one into the much vidted Salzkammer district of the Austrian Alps. The Ache, a stream which has its origin in the glaciers of Kriml, empties its water over three famous falls into a chasm. Many beautiful scenes of the surrounding country of Kriml are also depicted in this picture.
