ACCIDENTS & FATALITIES.

(Per Press Association. Christchurch, November 29. Arthur Paterson, secretary of the General Labourers’ Union, committed suicide at the Trades Hall last night. He stripped himself, and lay on the floor heside the gas ring with the gas turned on, and was found in the morning dead. He left a note giving brief instructions as to his affairs. He had been in very bad health and was despondent during the past twelve months.
