Messrs. Borthwick and Sons publish a list of receiving dates for December.

On Wednesday next, at the Waiwakaiho yards, Mr. Newton King will offer a very choice catalogue of pedigree bulls and cows. Jersey cattle, as proved by recent shows and exhibitions, are still right on the top for results, and any dairyman anxious to increase his returns should not miss the opportunity offered. In all 24 hulls and 4 cows will be submitted to the public. The Inglewood Bacon Co. advertise their receiving dates for December.

At his Hay market and Mart sales to-morrow Newton King will sell horses cattle, and pigs, also furniture and sundries.

The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. publish particulars of their Kalcaramea yards’ sale in another column.

At T. Lamasoii’s Mart to-morrow a huge quantity of bankrupt stock will be sold absolutely without reserve. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. advertise particulars of their Stratford yards sale, which takes place on Tuesday next.

The property to have been offered for sale to-morrow by Ml - . Newton King at his Mart, in conjunction with the N.Z. Loan and Mercantile'Agency (being sections 247 and 248, Moa district), has been withdrawn from sale. Intending buyers will please not Mrs. W. Abbott and family acknowledge sympathy extended to them in their late bereavement.

Owing to losing the tenancy of one of his shops (the clothing and mercery department, and half the showroom), Mr. A. Spence is confronted, with the huge task of converting into money a large portion of his stock within a short time. His tenancy of this shop expires on November 30th, and as the new tenants take possession on December Ist, there is only a limited time left to get out. No other suitable premises are available at the present time so Mr. Spence has no .alternative but to endeavour to realise. Ho has determined to hold a groat clearance sale, which commences on Saturday next, 16th inst. Mr. Spence says the goods must be sold, however great the sacritice may be. x

The Christmas season is just upon us. and at the Studio Mr. McAllister is making special preparation for it. For the next few weeks one dozen cabinet photographs and an enlargement will be given for one guinea. The enlargement will he of the usual size, hub will be mounted on sped lly made heavy mounts, with coloured bevelled edges 20 x 15 inches, and will not require framing. The photoglyphs will lie, as always at the McAllister Studio, faithful portraits ami pleasing pictures, and it can be confiduTy affirmed that material a- d workmansbin considered, no in the Dominion can equal this offer. Open for one mouth only. *
