WORKERS’ COMPENSATION.
WHAT BRITAIN PAYS
(Received 27, 8.25 a.m.) London, November 26. Official returns show that during 1911 the payments for workmen’s compensation totalled £3,056,404, as compared with £2,700,325 in 1910, and £2,2/4,237 in 1909. These figures cover the seven chief industries of the Kingdom, including management and legal and medical costs. The whole of the outpayments in connection with compensation in 1910 totalled over £4,000,000.
